ELECTRIC DAISY ART INSTALLATION
by: Poetic Kinetics
The Electric Daisy art installation by Poetic Kinetics is a grand, vibrant piece of interactive art that debuted at the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas in 2012. Evolving from the Hope Flower, which first appeared at Burning Man 2005, the Electric Daisy is a monumental sculpture, standing 140 feet tall at full extension.
The Electric Daisy’s grandeur lies not only in its size but in its technology and interactivity as well. The installation is built around a 125-foot articulating aerial man-lift and features 45,000 programmable LEDs, capable of putting on a dynamic light show of highly saturated colors and interactive effects. These lights are embedded in the Daisy’s 34-foot wide petals, providing a mesmerizing visual experience.
The flower’s stem houses an articulating boom lift, allowing the entire installation to move, reign over the festival grounds, swivel from left to right, or swoop down to ground level, enhancing its interactivity and engagement with the audience.
As a piece of art, the Electric Daisy symbolizes the vibrancy and spirit of youth, and it aligns well with the overall ethos of the Electric Daisy Carnival, making it a remarkable addition to the festival.
